wellness is my jam.

I became a certified health coach through Emory University in 2017 so I could elevate what was essentially a hobby into something more official. Now I work primarily with Millennial women who are successful in most areas of their lives but stuck in a rut when it comes to their overall health and wellness, helping them find the motivation to create lasting, positive change by giving them realistic, actionable plans to achieve their goals.

It’s my belief that making healthy lifestyle changes involves more than modifying your diet and exercising, though those are two pieces of the puzzle. In fact, there are a number of factors that influence your health, including:

  • Mindful awareness

  • Food

  • Exercise and movement

  • Relationships

  • Meaningful work

  • Environment

  • Conventional care

  • Complementary care

Think about it: if you’re stuck in a job you hate, how does that affect your overall wellbeing? If you have a disagreement with a family member or your significant other, does that seep into other areas of your life? All of these pieces are interconnected, whether it’s obvious or not. Health coaching can help you heighten your awareness and change your habits to become your happiest, healthiest self.

“Working with Kaitlin has actually changed my life. When we first met, I knew I needed to make changes but I wasn't sure how and where to start. I had spent years focusing on my professional life and neglecting my health and wellness and I felt stuck and overwhelmed. Kaitlin helped me get clear about what was important to me about my health and wellness and why. Every time we met, I would take one more step in the direction I wanted to go. I made several changes in my life that might seem like surface level, simple changes. Eating better, working out consistently, being mindful, and making time to take care of myself. But after Kaitlin's coaching, I know why these changes are important to me - and I am confident that because of the work we did together, these changes are lifelong.”

”Over the last six weeks I have worked with Kaitlin to help reshape my relationship with health and wellness. She is patient, a great listener and a very good coach when it comes to self care and lifestyle changes. My job and general life stresses were getting in the way of eating a well-balanced diet and being active. Kaitlin was able to break things down into manageable changes that will stay with me long-term. She was also able to suggest effective tools for meal planning, food tracking and fitness that will help me reach my health goals this year. This is the year of a new me and I wouldn't be on my way to a healthier and happier person without Kaitlin.”

“Kaitlin was a terrific coach.  She helped me identify solutions and urged me to utilize them in a rational, realistic fashion. That enabled me to see improvements and not get discouraged. In addition, it helped me set realistic long-term goals.  I wondered how someone who is younger than me would be able to help me with issues related to taking care of elderly parents. Kaitlin somehow was able to relate to those issues or at least to show empathy, compassion, and understanding.  I highly recommend Kaitlin for your needs too.”
